A “broad spectrum” microbial concentrate to stabilize the marine aquarium

BEA Aequilibrium PRO was designed to provide broad coverage without overcomplicating things. Its formula combines autotrophic strains (primarily focused on nitrogen cycles) and heterotrophic strains (more geared towards the rapid assimilation of organic matter), with an organo-mineral base enriched with enzymes and targeted nutrients. This synergy helps the aquarium regain a more "fluid" metabolism: fewer accumulations, fewer sudden fluctuations, and an overall more stable environment.

The advantage of PRO also lies in its ability to support biological export: organic compounds are more effectively transformed, microbial biomass develops, and is then eliminated by the usual filtration and skimming processes. As a result, the system becomes less hospitable to opportunistic organisms (cyanobacteria, dinoflagellates, algae) that often take advantage of periods of imbalance and bacterial "monocultures."

Ideal after treatments, oxidants or periods of imbalance

When an aquarium goes through a difficult phase, the problem isn't just "what you see" (film, algae, drift); it's often the depletion of the microbial base. BEA Aequilibrium PRO is particularly useful after:

• the use of medications or oxidizing substances,
• a change in management (new method, new equipment, new routine),
• a decline in beneficial strains which leaves room for less desirable populations.

In these contexts, it helps restore microbial diversity and get biological processes back on a more stable track. It also helps limit the presence of residual nitrites and lingering organic compounds, two "classic" problems in modern aquariums when things go wrong.

Precise dosage, easy dilution, and hassle-free administration

The recommended dosage is simple and adjustable: 1 capsule for 500 to 1,000 liters of actual water, or ½ capsule for 100 to 500 liters . For more precise adjustment, the contents of one capsule can be diluted in 100 ml of aquarium water , using only the necessary amount, and the remainder stored in the refrigerator for the next dosage.

• Dilute the contents in 100 ml of aquarium water (or a small equivalent volume).
• Pour into a high-flow area, ideally into the sump .
• Turn off the skimmer approximately 30 minutes after adding the water.

To boost effectiveness, the solution can rest for 6 to 12 hours at approximately 24°C , away from direct sunlight, before being poured. And a practical point to remember: it is advisable to apply the solution 24 to 48 hours after the last water change , to ensure a more stable base.

Usage schedule: 4 weeks of treatment, 1 week break

The AEQUILIBRIUM protocol follows a clear rhythm: 4 weeks of treatment followed by 1 week without dosing . After the break, the aquarist assesses the parameters (tests, tank appearance, stability) and decides whether to repeat or adjust the treatment.

Maturation: recommended for a newly set up tank or one being transferred. Dosage according to the volume ratio, for 4 weeks, then a break. For longer maturation periods, the cycle can be repeated.

Resolution: Useful when nutrient levels are medium/high, redox is low, or when sludge, algal/bacterial films, and drift are visible. After the one-week break, a new cycle is possible if necessary.

Maintenance: To maintain a stable, low-nutrient aquarium with minimal sediment. Same setup: 4 weeks, then a one-week break.

AEQUILIBRIUM Synergy: PRO teamwork with A, E and Z

BEA Aequilibrium PRO is even more effective when used in combination. Combined with Aequilibrium A (for balancing the nitrogen cycle stages), Aequilibrium E (for rapid nutrient and organic assimilation), and Aequilibrium Z (for enzymatic support against deposits and mucilage), it helps achieve more comprehensive and consistent biological management. The goal is a more stable aquarium, with fewer fluctuations and fewer opportunities for unwanted growth.

Storage, precautions and technical use

The capsules are sensitive to humidity: they must be kept closed, in a cool, dry place , and handled with care. This product is intended for technical use in ornamental aquariums and should be kept out of reach of children. It does not contain pathogenic organisms and is not intended for human or animal consumption. There is no known danger in case of overdose, but the same principle applies: consistent dosage and follow-up tests.
