BEA Aequilibrium E is based on a selection of heterotrophic strains with extremely rapid metabolism . Unlike purely nitrifying bacteria, these microorganisms feed directly on dissolved organic compounds present in the water. As a result, proteins from uneaten food , lipids from plankton , and polysaccharides from coral mucus are efficiently broken down and assimilated.

This process transforms dissolved nutrients into bacterial biomass, which is then removed through skimming. The water becomes clearer, the organic load decreases, and the system naturally becomes more stable. In practice, this means fewer unexpected fluctuations and a more resilient tank against unwanted blooms such as cyanobacteria or opportunistic algae.

Precise dosage and detailed administration protocol

The standard recommended dosage is 1 capsule per 500 to 1,000 liters of actual water volume. For smaller volumes, use ½ capsule per 100 to 500 liters . The dosage should always be consistent with tank analyses and the observed organic load.

Recommended method of administration:

• Dilute the contents of the capsule in 100 ml of aquarium water .
• Pour the solution into an area with strong mixing , ideally into the sump.
• Turn off the skimmer for about 30 minutes .

To enhance biological efficacy, the mixture can be left to stand for 6 to 12 hours at approximately 24°C , protected from light, before introduction. This step promotes the activation of the strains and improves their implantation.

For precise dosing, the capsule can be completely dissolved in 100 ml of water from the tank, then divided according to the volume. The remainder can be stored in the refrigerator for the next dose.

Usage programs: maturation, resolution, and maintenance

The standard protocol consists of 4 weeks of application followed by 1 week of rest . After the break, the state of the system determines whether the program should be continued or adapted.

Maturation: recommended for new or transferred tanks. Use the same dosage ratio every week for 4 weeks, then take a one-week break, and repeat if necessary for longer maturation periods.

Solution: Suitable for aquariums with medium to high nutrient levels, bacterial films, sludge, or low redox potential. Apply for 4 weeks, then pause, and repeat the cycle if necessary.

Maintenance: for stable systems with low nutrient levels. Controlled application for 4 weeks, then a week of rest before possible resumption.

It is recommended to dose 24 to 48 hours after a water change . There is no known danger in case of overdose, but the appearance of a white film or gelatinous clump may indicate a temporary excess.
