BEA - N Adsorb - 500 ml | High-capacity zeolite filter media for ammonia removal

BEA N Adsorb 500 ml is a natural ceramic granule made from purified zeolites , designed to effectively adsorb ammonia, nitrogen compounds, heavy metals, and various contaminants in marine and freshwater aquariums. Thanks to its microporous structure with a large surface area , it captures and retains pollutants for an extended period without release. Presented as 5-6 mm granules with an included bag, it can be used in passive filters, reactors, or filter beds. The 500 ml format allows you to treat up to 1,000 liters of water, offering a high-performance and regenerable solution for quickly stabilizing parameters and reducing the load on biological filtration.

  • Durable adsorption of ammonia and nitrogen compounds
  • Treats up to 1,000 liters of water
  • Media can be regenerated up to 3 to 4 cycles

High-performance zeolite media for nitrogen compound control

BEA N Adsorb is an innovative composite filter medium made from a blend of carefully purified ceramic zeolites. Its cross-linked internal structure, characterized by dense microporosity, allows it to expose an extensive adsorption surface. This configuration optimizes the capture of ammonia (NH3/NH4) , nitrites, residual nitrates, and other inorganic contaminants.

It works particularly well during sensitive phases: aquarium start-up, population increase, bacterial imbalance, or temporary overload. Once adsorbed, pollutants remain trapped within the media matrix, ensuring stable and reliable action.

Processing capacity and precise dosing

The 500 ml format is sufficient to effectively treat an aquarium up to 1000 liters , depending on the organic load. For a moderately stocked 200-liter aquarium, it is recommended to use 100 to 200 ml .

  • Introduce approximately 50% of the initial dose.
  • Increase gradually over a few days.
  • Observe the reaction of the container carefully.

This gradual approach avoids any biological shock and ensures a smooth adaptation of the system.

Simple to use in a filter bag or dedicated reactor

BEA N Adsorb 500 ml can be used in the supplied bag , as a passive filter, in a fluidized bed, or in a specific reactor. It must be placed in an area with a suitable flow rate to ensure good contact with the water. Pre-rinsing is recommended before initial installation.

The medium has a low dust emission , which limits water clouding during installation.

Complete regeneration up to 4 cycles

BEA N Adsorb can be regenerated up to 3 or 4 times by following these steps, with appropriate precautions:

  • First bath: 3% peroxide for 6 to 12 hours, then rinse thoroughly.
  • Second bath: diluted citric acid for 6 to 12 hours, then rinse.
  • Third bath: diluted bicarbonate for 6 to 12 hours, then complete rinsing.

Never mix the products together. Wear gloves and appropriate protective gear when handling. This procedure restores the media's adsorption capacity.

Sustainable improvement in chemical stability

By reducing ammonia and nitrogen compounds, BEA N Adsorb contributes to:

  • Stabilize critical parameters quickly.
  • Reduce the pressure on biological filtration.
  • Limiting the risks associated with ammonia spikes.

Used in conjunction with good skimming and regular maintenance, it actively contributes to the overall resilience of the system.

Storage and precautions

Keep closed in a cool, dry place. Product intended for technical use in ornamental aquariums. Keep out of reach of children. Do not overdose to maintain the biological balance of the tank.
