Why use a UVC sterilizer?
Poor lighting conditions, too much fertilizer or nutrients can have negative effects on the aquarium water, it promotes algae. Floating algae cause green turbidity and bacteria whitish turbidity. Thanks to the sterilizer, you will be able to eliminate the turbidity caused by bacteria and algae. The aquarium water passes through the sterilizer housing which is UV resistant. UV-C radiation kills bacteria, other germs and algae floating in the water. The performance of this UVC sterilizer is very high and the glass shell is surrounded by a polished stainless steel reflective sheet which reflects UVC rays, thus doubling the efficiency.
Most stubborn algae, such as string algae, are also destroyed, so removing them also has this positive effect.
Partial disinfection of aquariums up to 800 liters (maximum pump 500 l/h) against floating algae up to 200 liters (maximum pump 500 l/h). Partial sterility reduces the risk of disease.
How to install the uvc sterilizer?
Connect the water sterilizer to the external filter or another pump. You can install it in any position you want with the supplied 90° elbow. Space-saving assembly: connects to external filter. Easily locate openings and exits. Length 42cm.
The JBL UV-C sterilizer is TÜV tested and has a circuit breaker that automatically turns off the device as soon as it is opened. The case is UV resistant, the walls of the box and it has LEDs that indicate if UV-C are active.
No change in water parameters, no negative effects of important cleaning bacteria in the filter.
