What are the benefits of Clarisea?

ClariSea Gen3 has many new features to speed up installation, simplify filter loading, and service the unit without removing or dismantling it from the sump. The body is fully engineered and bonded, making initial installation of the unit quicker and easier than in previous generations.

To facilitate regular cleaning, guide rollers and splash guards can be removed without disassembling tools or units. Both splash guard plates are quick release and feature a mortise slot that can be easily removed even if the unit is sump mounted. A specially designed knob screw fixing is used to hold the guide roller and allow it to rotate freely when the tape is wound. This allows you to simply replace the fleece without removing the ClariSea from the tank.

The redesigned roll holder easily places it on top of the unit, eliminating the need to loosen or tighten mounting screws when the roll needs to be removed or replaced. This is especially useful if space is limited or access to mounting screws is limited.

All ClariSea Gen3 units include a fleece removal tool that helps evacuate dirty filter rolls from the spool, making it easy to remove dirty rolls without having to cut or extend the fleece.

Connections to existing aquarium hoses are also more versatile with specially shaped inlet adapter elbows that fit standard 32mm aquarium hoses or fit directly to 40mm metric hoses with 40mm straight connectors.

What is the smart controller used for?

The ClariSea unit includes an intelligent controller for automatic and manual fleece roll advance. It also displays visual and audible alarms if a potential error is detected during operation.

How to use the controller?

Play button:

Press and hold this button to manually advance the motor and wind the fleece.

Alarm button:

Press the alarm button for 1-2 seconds to deactivate the audible alarm. The alarm condition will still be present with the red LED still flashing. Automatic fleece advance will be disabled, but the play button will still function as manual fleece advance.

Pressing the alarm button for 5-7 seconds will fully reset the controller, which will completely clear the alarm state and return the unit to normal operating mode. Removing power for 30 seconds also resets the controller and clears the alarm state.

Normal running :

Initialization (power on or reset): Blue/Red LEDs flash 5 times, an audible alarm will sound with each flash if the smart controller is reset or powered on. The blue LED stays on to indicate that the unit is in normal standby mode. Motor activation When the motor is activated, the blue LED flashes.

Alarm indicators:

If the roller cannot move forward or if the float is activated for more than 5 seconds. The red alarm light will flash The audible alarm will sound for 2 seconds every 5 seconds The automatic fleece advance will be disabled until the controller is reset.

When the float is not activated for 8 hours, it means the fleece is probably empty. Both blue/red LEDs flash, audible alarm sounds for 1 second every 2 seconds. The automatic fleece advance will be disabled until the controller is reset.

If there is a possible installation error and the float does not fire within 48 hours of initial setup or reset. The red LED flashes at 10 second intervals and the audible alarm sounds with each flash. The automatic fleece advance will be disabled until the controller is reset.
