Product Details

Carbonate hardness (KH) is one of the most important parameters of aquarium water.

Many freshwater aquarium fish prefer relatively hard water. In addition, KH has a buffering effect which prevents dangerous changes in the pH value (eg pH drop).

This is why, as a general rule, for community aquariums it is necessary to maintain a KH value of at least 6° dKH (x 1.78 = TAC French value) (much higher for special cases, such as cichlids Africans). In this way, the well-being of the fish is ensured and the water turns out to be very resistant and easy to maintain.
