The RED SEA ReefSense Temperature Probe R35825-T is designed for precise temperature monitoring in marine or reef aquariums. Featuring a saltwater-resistant titanium tip , it can be connected directly to a ReefControl Power or to the ReefControl Lite and ReefControl Pro controllers. It provides real-time monitoring with an accuracy of 0.1°C , as well as sending notifications and recording measurements. Integrated into the ReefControl ecosystem, it can also participate in automatic temperature regulation by controlling a compatible cooling fan or heater. A simple and reliable solution for keeping a constant eye on one of the essential parameters of your aquarium.
Temperature plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of a reef aquarium. Excessive fluctuations can quickly affect fish, corals, and all microfauna. The RED SEA ReefSense R35825-T allows for continuous monitoring of water temperature, enabling the rapid detection of any deviations or anomalies.
With a claimed accuracy of 0.1 °C , it allows for fine monitoring of daily variations and better control of the operation of the heating or cooling system.
The probe is equipped with a titanium tip , a material particularly well-suited to marine environments thanks to its excellent corrosion resistance. It can therefore remain permanently submerged without being exposed to the same risks of oxidation as materials less suited to salt water.
This robust design is ideal for reef aquariums where the probe needs to operate continuously in the sump or directly in a submerged technical area.
The RED SEA ReefSense Temperature Probe R35825-T can be connected directly to the ReefControl Power , as well as to the ReefControl Lite and ReefControl Pro controllers. This compatibility allows it to be integrated into various configurations, from a relatively simple installation to a more complete control system.
It thus provides a practical solution for adding or replacing a temperature measurement within an existing ReefControl system without having to use a separate device.
Once connected to the ReefControl system, the probe provides continuous temperature monitoring . This allows the user to view the current value without needing to manually check a thermometer installed in the tank.
This continuous measurement provides a much more comprehensive view than a one-off check. In particular, it allows for the detection of temperature increases during the day, nighttime cooling, or variations related to equipment operation.
The system can be configured to send notifications when the temperature reaches a defined value . This feature provides added security in case of faulty heating, high ambient heat, or a cooling system failure.
The aquarist can thus be quickly informed of an unusual situation and intervene before a prolonged variation becomes problematic for the animals.
The measurements provided by the ReefSense can be recorded in monitoring logs . This function allows you to visualize the evolution of the temperature over time and more easily identify recurring trends.
This makes it possible to see if the tank heats up more at certain times, if the heater is running too frequently, or if the temperature drops regularly during the night. This monitoring helps to more precisely adjust the system's thermal management.
The probe can be used to automatically control certain compatible DC equipment, including cooling fans . When the temperature exceeds the programmed threshold, the ReefControl can activate the device to promote aquarium cooling.
Once the temperature returns to the desired range, the system can automatically switch off the fan. This regulation prevents the cooling system from running unnecessarily and allows it to react to temperature variations on its own.
When paired with a ReefControl Power , the temperature sensor can also be used to control a mains-powered heater. The system can then activate it when the water becomes too cold and switch it off when the programmed temperature is reached.
This combination allows the probe to be transformed into a true automated thermal regulation element, with centralized management of heating and cooling according to the needs of the tank.
A faulty heater may stay on too long or, conversely, stop heating altogether. In either case, the aquarium temperature can quickly fall outside its normal range.
Thanks to continuous monitoring and ReefControl notifications, the probe can quickly detect unusual increases or decreases in temperature . This provides an extra layer of security compared to a heating system that relies solely on its built-in thermostat.
The ReefSense transducer supports Bluetooth Low Energy for certain remote tracking functions. This connectivity facilitates data access and integration of the transducer into the Red Sea digital ecosystem.
The user thus benefits from a more modern and practical system than a simple standalone thermometer, while maintaining a continuous measurement directly in the water.
In a marine aquarium, stability is often as important as the temperature itself. A temperature that fluctuates significantly throughout the day can be more problematic than a slightly different but consistent temperature.
The ReefSense R35825-T allows for precise monitoring of these variations and, when integrated into a compatible automation system, helps maintain a more constant temperature by combining heating and cooling.
The Aquarium Systems hydrometer allows you to accurately measure the density of seawater at a lower cost.
The seawater refractometer offers exceptional accuracy because it uses a specific algorithm developed to measure the absolute salinity of seawater at a temperature of 25°C.
