Thanks to its fine porosity foam structure of 45 ppi, this Aquael filter media plays an essential role in the quality of your aquarium water. It blocks suspended particles while providing an ideal support for the colonization of beneficial bacteria. The latter actively participate in the biological balance of the tank, thus reducing organic pollution and stabilizing water parameters.

Simplified installation and maintenance

Changing the pre-filter foam is child's play! Simply open your filter , remove the old foam and install the new one. To maximize its effectiveness, it is recommended to soak it in aquarium water 24 hours before replacement. This tip accelerates bacterial seeding and ensures optimal filtration from the moment it is installed.

Why replace the foam regularly?

A high-performance filter is, above all, good maintenance! Changing it every 4 to 6 weeks prevents waste from building up and preserves the system's flow rate. If you notice a drop in performance, cleaning the filter may be necessary. To do this, simply rinse the foam under aquarium water, without squeezing it or using chemicals.
