These ceramic rocks, light , of irregular shapes, of very natural aspect, allow to easily build, by solid pilings, caves, arches, and all kinds of decorations, to create territories where the fish feel safe.

Product Details

Porosity

A very important porosity, specially studied, with cavities, cracks and very many open pores, makes it possible to shelter a whole micro-fauna.
Aerobic and anaerobic bacteria find a favorable environment here.
Your entire decor is transformed into a living environment, reducing nitrites and nitrates.
Close-up photo: magnification of a section of a rock – part 5 cm long. We can see cracks, which go deep into the rock and which communicate with a whole network of cavities of 100 to 500 µ. These cavities are themselves lined with open pores of 20 to 100 µ. The purification bacteria which have a size of 1.2 to 1.5 µ can thus develop right to the heart of the material with a good supply of substances to be degraded.

In a reef tank, in addition to live rocks: colonization in a few months.
