Balling Base Carbonate Kit – Performance & pH Support

This kit includes everything you need to set up a “carbo-based” (sodium carbonate) Balling , up to 3x more concentrated than a classic Balling. It is particularly suitable for high-consumption reef aquariums and for those who wish to maintain a higher pH when the ambient air is rich in CO₂.

Kit Contents

• Zoa Calcium 3 kg (calcium chloride dihydrate)
• Zoa Carbo 2 kg (sodium carbonate – Na₂CO₃)
• Zoa Mineral 1 kg (“salt-free” salts for ionic)
• 3×250 ml of trace elements to complete the method

Why carbonate base?

• pH support : Carbonate tends to raise pH relative to bicarbonate, which is favorable for calcification.
• High concentration : less volume dosed for the same gain in KH, practical for high-demand tanks.
• Stability : maintaining a regular KH , coupled with the supply of Ca and trace elements .

For which aquariums?

Populated reefs (SPS/LPS), systems with chronically low pH , or installations that require powerful and compact balling.

Preparation & Dosage (Summary)

• KH Solution : Prepare with Zoa Carbo (carbonate) in reverse osmosis water, stirring vigorously.
• Solution Ca : Prepare with Zoa Calcium .
• Mineral Solution : Prepare with Zoa Mineral
• Dose separately, in heavily mixed areas, and space out the additions by a few minutes.

Mix Zoa Carbo in a quantity of reverse osmosis water according to the desired volume and concentration. The table below allows you to prepare 5 liters of solution in single , double or triple concentration. These doses are to be dissolved in reverse osmosis water. You can prepare smaller or larger quantities by dividing or multiplying the doses below.

• Recommended mixing order: dissolve each powder separately in 4 L of reverse osmosis water, shake well, then top up to 5 L.
• Separate additions: dose KH (carbo), Ca and minerals/trace separately , in very mixed areas, spacing the additions a few minutes apart.
