Solution to increase carbonate hardness in marine aquariums. KH Plus was created to address shortages and sudden drops in carbonate hardness levels and restore ionic balance in the aquarium. An adequate value of carbonate ions is necessary for coral growth and maintenance in good health as well as for the construction of skeletons. Due to the presence of carbonate ions, this may also improve pH stability.
Dosage: 10 ml of KH Plus solution increases the carbonate hardness by 0.5 dKH in 100 l of water. The carbonate hardness of the reef aquarium should be around 6.5-8.5 dKH. Do not increase the KH by more than 0.5 dKH every 24 hours. Please ensure your magnesium level is within the recommended range before attempting to increase or adjust your calcium and carbonate hardness levels.
