Why use magnesium test?

To grow, corals draw minerals from the surrounding water, and in addition to carbonate and calcium, magnesium is one of the important elements that promotes the growth of the calcareous skeleton of the coral. Therefore, it is important to measure the value of corals at least once a week or as soon as they are added to the aquarium. If the level is too low, additives such as "Magnesium Plus" can be added to bring the value back to the desired level.

The optimal magnesium concentration in a saltwater aquarium should be between 1250 and 1300 mg/L.
