Questions / Réponses

What is a reverse osmosis unit?

The reverse osmosis system allows you to treat your tap water to make it pure, in particular to eliminate all traces of nitrates. Osmosis water is therefore water purified of all its chemical substances or other bacteria harmful to the proper functioning of your aquarium, thanks to a filtration system which must be renewed in order to maintain its effectiveness.

When to change the osmosis membrane?

The reverse osmosis membrane must be changed when it is no longer effective, generally after a few years. You can check this with a TDS meter.

How to install an aquarium reverse osmosis unit?

A reverse osmosis unit should be placed towards a cold water inlet/tap and placed vertically with the outlet facing down to facilitate wastewater disposal. If you want to place your reverse osmosis unit in a specific location, you will need to purchase specific adapters. The membrane must always be in the water.

What is reverse osmosis water?

Osmosis water is purified water, without impurities, drug residues, pesticides or others, obtained using the reverse osmosis system.
