SEACHEM Purigen 500ml

Seachem Purigen is the most remarkable adsorption synthetic resin because it cannot compare with any other existing product. It is not a blend of conventional ion exchangers or adsorbents, but a unique macroporous synthetic polymer that removes soluble and insoluble impurities from water at a rate and capacity that exceeds all other more than 500%. Purigen eliminates a whole range of organics, proteins, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates but its impact on trace elements is minimal. It increases redox significantly. It clarifies and gives the water an unequaled transparency.

Manual :

• Rinse before use. To be used in a fine mesh filtration bag.
• 1L treats up to 4000L (1000 gallons) for up to six months Purigen turns brown or black when the adsorption capacity is exhausted and can then be easily regenerated with ordinary bleach. A 100ml filter bag can purify and clarify up to 400 liters of fresh water or sea water for 6 months.

Regeneration:

• Soak in a mixture of bleach and water (1:1) for 24 hours in a non-metallic container in a well-ventilated area and away from children. Rinse well then soak for 8 hours with a solution containing 2 tablespoons of Chlorgard equivalent per cup of water. Rinse well.
• Original color and full activity should be restored and Purigen is ready for reuse.

Attention :

• Some mud coating products can permanently clog Purigen and make regeneration difficult. Do not reuse if chlorine odor is detectable. If in doubt, soak the beads in a small amount of water and test for residual chlorine with a chlorine test.
