Calibration
The Vectra can be set to automatically calibrate to your tank. As a return pump, this smart feature prevents back siphoning if the pump is stopped and also provides a neutral flow condition in supply mode.

Compatible with backup battery
In an aquarium with no flow, fish and corals can begin to die in as little as 4-10 hours. The backup battery is reef insurance in an aluminum case.
By adding the Backup Battery**, your tank is isolated from power outages, helping to protect your valuable investment and your tank's inhabitants.

The Vectra Advantage
Cost savings
Traditional AC pumps, when used as a return pump for your sump pit, are flow controlled using a throttle valve. This method of control is inherently inefficient for two reasons. 1) The purchased AC pump often needs to be too powerful for your given setup to allow for flexibility. 2) By adding an artificial impedance to your stream, electricity is wasted. The Vectra pump will always operate at optimum efficiency because it is not necessary to use a flow limiting valve to achieve the desired flow rate.
