Flash Skimming

The “Flash Skimming” principle guarantees efficient foam production with high performance.
Principle: Surface water with a high protein content is intensely mixed with air by the Foamer TUNZE ® . The different substances to be extracted such as proteins, cellulose, dead cells, etc. immediately agglomerate on the surface of these fine bubbles with a diameter between 0.1 and 0.3 mm. The mixture of water and air bubbles is then relaxed and stabilized in the body of the skimmer, the treated water returns to the aquarium and the air bubbles loaded with the various materials are pushed towards the evacuation cup . The patented principle of the Anti Overfoaming System chamber with its process water prevents runaway of the skimmer and regulates its performance according to the water level and the organic load. Compared to devices of higher construction or having a longer contact time, the skimmer with the “Flash Skimming” principle achieves high skimming yields and avoids the phenomena of protein releases. Substances stuck to the air bubbles are not separated or drawn back into the aquarium water.

Comline® DOC Skimmer 9001 DC Comline® DOC Skimmer 9001 DC has the same features as model 9001, however is equipped with Foamer electronic 9001.041, Controller and mains power supply. The power adjustment of the skimmer is carried out in a very practical way at the level of the Controller (1), thus allowing more flexibility in the adjustments, for example in aquariums very loaded with proteins and foaming substances. The "cup cleaning" button allows the skimmer to be switched off / restarted during cup cleaning. It stops and restarts the pump, thus preventing the bubbles from spilling into the aquarium. The Foamer restarts automatically after 10 minutes if the "cup cleaning" button is not manually pressed again after cleaning. When the Foamer is stopped, the injection nozzle fills with water, which dissolves the calcium deposits and significantly lengthens the time between two complete cleanings of the device.
