Zoanthus Lab Iodine 250 ml is a concentrated solution designed to precisely correct iodine deficiencies in marine reef aquariums. Iodine (I) is an essential trace element involved in numerous biological processes in soft corals, crustaceans, and microfauna. Formulated with purified water and pharmaceutical-grade sodium iodide , this supplement guarantees a stable, clear, and perfectly measurable concentration. Free of unnecessary chelators and stabilizers, it integrates ideally into ICP- based management systems. A simple, precise, and transparent approach for optimal control of your reef tank.
Iodine is naturally present in seawater at very low concentrations (approximately 60 µg/L). It plays a role in various biological processes, particularly in soft corals, gorgonians, sponges, crustaceans and macroalgae .
In a modern reef aquarium, iodine is quickly consumed by living organisms and removed by skimming. Its level can therefore gradually decrease, especially in tanks rich in soft corals or invertebrates.
Maintaining consistent concentrations helps to preserve a stable biological balance without overdosing, as iodine remains an element that must be handled with precision.
We offer a full range of products to target the main elements of seawater following ICP analysis or manual testing.

The Zoanthus Lab – Iodine solution is prepared from pharmaceutical grade sodium iodide (NaI) , dissolved in purified RO/DI water.
The concentration is rigorously adjusted to provide 5 mg/mL of elemental iodine . This choice guarantees optimal stability in aqueous solution, without the use of artificial chelating or stabilizing agents.
Supplementation should always be based on a recent ICP analysis . In cases of significant deficiency, dividing the correction over several days helps avoid any sudden changes in parameters.
Each Zoanthus Lab product can be controlled via our free Zoa Aqua Manager calculator. In just a few seconds, you get a precise and personalized dosage from your ICP analysis (Zoanthus Labs or any other laboratory).
Simply enter your actual water volume, your measured value, and your target. The system automatically calculates the appropriate correction, with the option of gradual dosing for optimal stability.
A tool designed for demanding aquarists who want a scientific and controlled approach to their supplementation.

The essentials for reef aquariums
Complete analysis of the major elements and trace elements essential for the regular monitoring of your reef aquarium.
Ultra-comprehensive diagnosis
In-depth reading with expanded spectrum including fluoride, nitrates, KH and reverse osmosis water analysis.
Special reverse osmosis water
Precise control of your preparation water to ensure a perfectly healthy base before any remineralization.
The results of each analysis can be directly used in our free Zoa Aqua Manager calculator for precise and personalized dosing.

Add to a well-mixed area or settling tank. Shake well before use.
Store away from light, between 15 and 25°C. Since iodides can slowly oxidize in light, it is recommended to keep the bottle tightly closed. Recommended shelf life: 12 months.
As with any trace element, excessive supplementation is unnecessary and can unbalance the water. Regular ICP analysis remains the most reliable method for maintaining a stable aquarium in the long term.

Concentrated products of Component A, B, C, and K. Rich in trace elements.
Supplement concentrated in heavy metals such as: manganese, vanadium, zinc, nickel, iron, chromium, cobalt, copper. These trace elements are present in seawater in very small quantities, but they are very important for the cultivation of corals.
