- For quick and easy water quality checks
- Test strips check 6 water quality indicators in just 60 seconds
- Indicates pH, carbonate hardness and total hardness (KH+GH), as well as nitrite (NO2), nitrate (NO3) and chlorine (Cl2) content.
- pH – pH is an indicator of the acid-base balance of water essential to the health of fish. The ideal value is between 6.5 and 8.5.
- KH – Carbonate hardness provides pH stability. The recommended value is generally between 3° and 10° dH.
- GH – Total hardness has a direct influence on the health of fish, plants and microorganisms. The ideal value is between 6° and 16° dH.
- NO2 – A nitrite content close to zero is a sign that the filter is working well and that the water is safe for fish.
- NO3 – The nitrate content indicates how “fresh” the water is and thus the likelihood of algae growth.
- Cl2 – Shows the chlorine content of the water. Too high a value is harmful to beneficial bacteria and fish.
