Every grain of sand in the ocean is covered in biofilm. Ocean® Bio-Activ Live® aragonite is harvested from nature in order to keep this biofilm.
The bacteria contained in this biofilm are in their natural state.
The artificial addition of bacteria does not reproduce the natural biofilm correctly and is not as effective as that taken naturally. Indeed, the bacteria present in Ocean® Bio-Activ Live® living sand are those resulting from millions of years of evolution. All bacteria on Ocean® Bio-Activ Live® Aragonite are preserved in their natural state using a patented process and patented QX-23® salt water enrichment solution.
Ocean® Bio-Activ Nature Live® Aragonite is guaranteed to contain several hundred million live bacteria per bag in a natural biofilm, ready to immediately begin the process of nitrification and stabilization of your tank.
