Nyos® PURE® contains pure pharmaceutical grade ingredients
Nyos® PURE® contains sodium chloride which is purified in a multi-step process. It is thus purer than the salts obtained by evaporation of sea water.
Some of the ingredients are also used in the field of medical technology (dialysis).
Contrary to popular opinion, the most expensive ingredients in sea salt blends are not trace minerals, but calcium and magnesium compounds. In the case of Nyos® PURE®, high quality salts are used.
Thanks to these very pure ingredients, Nyos® PURE® has a very low content of undesirable substances such as manganese, copper, aluminum or other heavy metals. This has a very positive effect on the development of corals, fish and invertebrates.
Nyos® PURE® dissolves crystallinely
There is no yellow coloring of the water due to organic impurities.
Nyos® PURE® has virtually no insoluble white or black particles when dissolved.
The salt mixing container stays clean for a very long time. It is no longer necessary to frequently clean the mixing container due to deposits and dirt.

Due to the purity of the ingredients and the small particle size, Nyos® PURE® dissolves after approximately 5 minutes at room temperature.
Can be used quickly
Seawater freshly prepared with Nyos® PURE® can be used after a few minutes. The often advocated "maturation of seawater" means nothing more than the impurities which have yet to precipitate into insoluble compounds. Due to the purity of the ingredients, this is not necessary with Nyos® PURE®.
A special mixing process
A special mixing process, also used in the food and pharmaceutical sector, ensures that Nyos® PURE® has a constant filler quality and a high homogeneity of the mixture.
Suitable particle size
A harmonized particle size of the ingredients prevents demixing in the bucket.
The salt values at the top and bottom of the bucket are therefore almost identical. Thus, no value changes during the use of a packaging unit.
Natural sea water as a perfect example
With Nyos® PURE® sea salt, we have set ourselves the goal of reproducing the composition of natural seawater as closely as possible. In our experience, this is also the best guarantee of a successful saltwater aquarium. Nyos® PURE® has the following main values for a salinity of 35‰:
Carbonate hardness / alkalinity: approx. HKD8.5
Magnesium: approx. 1,350 mg/l
Sulphur: approx. 900mg/l
Calcium: approx. 435mg/l
Potassium: approx. 400mg/l
Bromine: approx. 62mg/l
Strontium: approx. 8mg/l
Boron: approx. 4.5mg/l
No excessive values
Nyos® PURE® does not contain excessive amounts of calcium, magnesium and KH. Even with larger water changes, the main values do not increase in the aquarium.
Optimized for corals
Long-term tests on coral farms have shown that the high purity and close-to-nature values of Nyos® PURE® have a positive effect on coral development.
Better appearance of polyps
The growth of polyps in SPS, LPS and soft corals is improved, day and night.
Reinforced color formation
Corals exhibit better color formation and more clearly delineate colors.
Growth stimulation
The use of Nyos® PURE® results in increased formation of growth spurts. Overall, the growth is positively influenced, so that Acropora hard corals form basalt discs in a very short time.
Long term stable
In the case of sea salts whose concentrations are too high, the storage of freshly prepared seawater can lead to the precipitation of calcium, KH and magnesium as insoluble compounds, even after a short period. This results in an undesirable white precipitate. Since Nyos® PURE® values are within the normal range, this effect does not occur, so prepared seawater can be stored for an extended period of time.
Does not promote the growth of algae and cyanobacteria
Organic additives in salt can lead to unwanted algae growth and cyanobacteria development during large water changes or during a new installation. This is why Nyos® PURE® does not contain any organic additives.
ICP Batch Control
Each batch of Nyos® PURE® is checked and documented by ICP analysis. The exact core values for each batch of salt can be found on each bucket and can also be viewed online.
Honesty: what is written is inside
With Nyos® PURE®, what's on the label is what's inside. To achieve a salinity of 34 %o (or 35 %o ), you need 39 grams (or 40 grams) of Nyos® PURE® per litre. Not less, but not more either.
