Tropic Marin ® PRO-REEF sea salt is specially adapted to the particular maintenance conditions of a reef aquarium: The optimized concentration of calcium and magnesium promotes the growth of corals. The adapted buffering effect stabilizes the pH and the carbonate hardness, even in the presence of a limestone reactor or other methods for ensuring the supply of limestone. This precise adjustment of all factors helps to create natural and sustainable living conditions in the aquarium in the presence of an alkalinity between 7 and 8 °dH.

Dosage

To obtain a salinity of 32 to 35‰ (practical salinity unit), dissolve 35 ml (approximately 37-40 g) of PRO-REEF per liter of water in a container while stirring. The sea water thus prepared can be used as soon as the salt has completely dissolved and the solution is clear. The relative density of the saline solution should be between 1.025 and 1.027 at a temperature of 25°C. For a new aquarium, a biologically stable environment is obtained in a few weeks under the effect of lighting and water recirculation, conducive to the development of marine species.

Once a week, a partial renewal of the water (approximately 10%), using the Tropic Marin ® PRO-REEF solution helps maintain satisfactory quality for your farms.
