An ideal substrate for Deltec limestone reactors

Deltec Hy Carb Special has been specifically formulated to work perfectly with Deltec brand calcium reactors. It is recommended to wash the granule thoroughly before use to avoid unwanted deposits. Once introduced into the reactor, it begins to dissolve slowly at an ideal pH of 6.3, enriching the water with calcium and magnesium – two minerals essential for the development of the coral skeleton and the ionic balance of seawater.

A natural mineral composition, without phosphate

Composed of calcium and magnesium carbonate , this pure granulate contains no phosphates , making it a safe and effective solution for sensitive reef aquariums. This natural composition allows for controlled dissolution that does not cause mineral spikes or sudden pH fluctuations. The result? Chemical stability that benefits the entire aquatic ecosystem.

Precise dosage and long-lasting effectiveness

With a recommended dosage of 0.4g per litre , Hy Carb Special offers excellent cost-effectiveness. The 7.5kg bag packaging provides ample surface area coverage and long shelf life, making it an economical choice for demanding aquarists.
