How to use the product

Aquarium Soil Powder ensures good active growth right from the start, and enhances the red colors of the plants. It is a complete base coat that can be used without any other type of gravel or substrate. Aquarium Soil Powder is also an active base coat which lowers the pH and slightly influences the chemistry of the water.
This is why we recommend 2 weekly changes of 25-50% of the water during the first 4 weeks of the aquarium.

How do I calculate how much Soil or Soil Powder I need for my aquarium if I'm using it as a complete soil?

• Measure the length and width of your aquarium, for example 90 x 60 cm.
• Decide on the thickness of the base layer desired, for example 8 cm (on average).
  You will have enough product to create a thicker floor at the back and thus achieve a nice visual effect.
• The calculation is: length x width x thickness divided by 1000.

In our example, 90 x 60 x 8/1000 = 43.2 L Soil/Soil Powder.
