KH Keeper Reagent 5L is the ready-to-use reagent designed for the Reef Factory KH Keeper / KH Keeper Plus . Formulated to provide accurate and repeatable alkalinity (KH) measurement in reef aquariums, it allows for back-to-back analyses without laborious preparation. The 5-liter format covers approximately 500 measurements and integrates seamlessly into the Smart Reef ecosystem to track results, view history, and receive alerts. Non-toxic to corals, the test water can be returned to the aquarium after analysis. Simple mixing before use ensures consistent performance and smooth, hassle-free KH management.

The KH Keeper Plus from Reef Factory is intended to automate alkalinity control in the marine aquarium industry . Thanks to this new "Plus" version, handling inside the device is easier given its larger size. The KH keeper Plus is equipped with a large professional probe and two ultra-quiet stepper motors. The controls are intuitive and user-friendly.
Specially formulated for KH Keeper measuring stations, this reagent guarantees perfect compatibility and consistent results. It eliminates the guesswork of homemade preparations and simplifies the routine: pour, mix, start the tests. The station samples the water, performs the analysis, and automatically sends the result to the Smart Reef app—simple and efficient.
KH stability is crucial for coral growth . This ready-to-use solution offers high accuracy and repeatability , essential for correctly interpreting trends and adjusting carbonate dosage. Every measurement becomes reliable, comparable and usable, day after day.
The 5-liter container covers approximately 500 tests , making it ideal for intensive or multi-tank monitoring. This reserve reduces stockouts, optimizes the cost per measurement, and allows for a regular testing schedule without complicated logistics.
The reagent is non-toxic to the reef . After analysis, the mixed water can be returned to the aquarium circuit —convenient when draining to the sewer is not possible. This conserves water volume and simplifies setup.
The Smart Reef app centralizes values, history up to 365 days , and alerts in case of rapid variations. Connected via Wi-Fi, the station requires no central computer and remains compact and discreet. The KH Keeper + Reagent pairing allows for continuous, documented, and responsive monitoring.
Mix before use to homogenize the solution. Follow the station's instructions (calibrations, rinsing) and schedule tests at regular intervals. In the event of deviations, make gradual adjustments to avoid stress for the animals. Keep the container closed, away from heat and light.
The Aquarium Systems hydrometer allows you to accurately measure the density of seawater at a lower cost.
