What is the warranty period for JUWEL Aquarium products?

We offer a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase for all aquarium components. This warranty does not cover, for example, filter foams and fluorescent tubes, nor any normal wear and tear parts, such as the pump impeller. To benefit from the warranty, you must provide a valid proof of purchase.

How do I properly set up my aquarium?

Assemble the aquarium according to the instructions and attach the filter. When doing so, ensure that the filter media is correctly positioned, referring, among other things, to the diagram on the filter packaging. Remove any plastic bags protecting the filter media (activated carbon foam, filter floss, Nitrax foam, and optional Cirax/Phorax basket). If you wish to attach back panels or filter covers to your aquarium, do so now. Then, equip your aquarium with a background and plants, as well as other decorative elements such as rocks or driftwood. Finally, fill the aquarium. Tip: The best way to do this is to carefully pour the water through the filter to protect your setup. Run the aquarium for approximately 10 days without fish to allow beneficial bacteria to establish themselves in the filter foams and for the water to be purified. Consult your specialist for advice.

Do I need to install a support between the cabinet and the aquarium?

JUWEL aquariums include a safety base frame that ensures even weight distribution. The use of additional supports is strictly prohibited.
