Information on diseases treated by FMC-50

White spot disease is caused by Ichthyophthirius multifillis. This disease is more likely to affect weakened fish, e.g., due to overcrowding, transport, water changes, or adding more fish to the pond, etc. Affected fish have white spots of 0.1 to 1 mm spread or grouped on the skin. The fish rub against plants or stones and sometimes flutter in the water with their fins together. After losing a large amount of skin or directly affecting the gills, the fish suffocates and dies.

When it comes to fungi, a kind of fuzzy ball appears on the skin or gills of fish. These are almost always caused by representatives of the Saprolegnia species. The fungus spreads on the skin but can also penetrate muscle tissue and organs, ultimately leading to death.

For pond fish only. Keep out of reach of children. Store in its container between 4 and 32°C. Do not inhale. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately, with the container or label at hand. This product leaves permanent stains on clothing and floors, among other things.

Effect on other animals: Pets and birds also drink pond water containing these products; it can be assumed that if fish swim in it, it cannot be harmful to the animals that drink it. However, it would be more prudent during treatment to give water in a bowl to pets (dogs and cats) accustomed to drinking pond water.

Catabolism: Treatments administered in ponds will disappear on their own through natural processes such as oxidation and decomposition by bacteria.

Combinations: There must be a minimum of 2 weeks between the administration of Alparex and FMC-50. Combination with other products is your sole responsibility!

Instructions for use

- Recommended dosage: 1 ml per 25 liters of pond water. A measuring cup is included in the package.

The dosage should be reduced by half if the pH is lower than 7 and the water temperature is higher than 15°C, as well as if there are fragile fish species such as ides, tench or sturgeon in the pond.

If necessary, the treatment can be repeated after 1 week.

- As a preventative measure: for 3 days 1 ml per 100 litres of pond water per day, or 10 ml per 1,000 litres of pond water.

Mix the product with water from a bucket or watering can. Then spread the mixture throughout the pond water. Do not filter with carbon or zeolite; UV lamps and equipment must be unplugged for up to 1 week after treatment.

• Safety and pool compatibility

The formula targets pathogens while preserving fish when used as directed. To protect biological balance , maintain good oxygenation, monitor fish behavior and respect dosing volumes. Do not combine simultaneously with other treatments without specialist advice.
