Instructions for use
Dosage: 20 drops per 10 litres of pond water. Always anesthetise your fish outside the pond in a separate tank and keep them under constant surveillance.
First of all, the complete treatment should be carried out quickly and with as little stress as possible for the fish.
- Take a clean basin or bucket and fill it with water from your pond. While filling, check the volume of water required.
- Then add 20 drops of anesthetic for every 10 liters of water. Mix the anesthetic well with the water in the basin.
- Then take the fish and dip it into the basin containing the anesthetic. Be careful that the fish does not jump out of the basin.
After a few minutes, the fish will have lost all sense of direction and will have more and more difficulty maintaining its balance. The fish is sufficiently anesthetized that when you take it out of the basin it remains quietly on the palm of your hand. However, avoid leaving it in the basin with the anesthetic for too long, because it risks going into a sleep that is too deep to the point of not even being able to wake up! If breathing suddenly stops during the anesthesia, immediately put the fish back in the pond. After the operation, pour the water containing the anesthetic into the drain.
