With 1600 m² of colonizable surface , BioCeramax 1600 far exceeds conventional filter media. This allows rapid development of the beneficial bacteria Nitrosomonas and Nitrospira , which ensure the transformation of harmful substances (ammonia and nitrites) into harmless nitrates. A high-performance and natural solution for optimal biological balance!
Easy to use and compatible with all filters
This filter media is ready to use : no rinsing or preparation required. Simply pour it directly into the biological compartment of your filter. For maximum efficiency, place it after mechanical filtration and before chemical filtration. It is suitable for all types of aquariums: freshwater, seawater, paludariums and terrariums.
Long life and easy maintenance
BioCeramax 1600 is designed to last! To maintain optimum efficiency, it is recommended to replace approximately 1/3 of the volume every 6 to 12 months . When cleaning the filter, simply rinse it with aquarium water to preserve the bacterial colonies. Caution: never wash with tap water!
