Temperature control

Two important factors influence the water temperature in the aquarium. On the one hand the ambient temperature, on the other hand the radiation of the sun. When the ambient temperature rises sharply in summer, it is important to regularly check the temperature in the aquarium. The desirable temperature is between 24 and 26°C. Temperatures above 30°C are very problematic and can cause great harm to fish and plants. On the other hand, aquariums should never be exposed to direct sunlight. The higher the temperature, the harder it is for the oxygen vital to the animals to diffuse into the water.

Easy installation

Lay chiller bracket over edge of aquarium (up to 2.4cm thick maximum) and secure with locking screws.

Evaporative cold

JBL Coolers for freshwater and saltwater aquariums lower the water temperature by 2-4°C using tangential fans. Thanks to the air flow, the hot water evaporates on the surface and thereby generates evaporative cold, comparable to the evaporative cooling of a wet part of the body exposed to the wind.

Safety The water cooler is equipped with a protective grid and works with a low voltage of 12 V.
