The Deltec 'i' DC pump and 'ix' range of skimmers incorporate a new emergency overflow system which prevents overflow of the collection cup if the water level suddenly exceeds the specified water depth or if the air inlet becomes blocked. When the water level rises in the skimmer body, the air supply to the pump is automatically shut off by the emergency overflow, reducing the chance of the bowl flooding if the water level rises in the decant.
The new skimmers also include minimum and maximum adjustment level markings on the outlet piping for easy installation.
The 'double base' baseplate design allows water to exit the skimmer body through a vacuum inside the paddle and into the integrated level adjustment tube and overflow tube. 'emergency. This new design feature means that water will exit the skimmer body at the lowest point, greatly reducing the risk of micro-bubbles, increasing air-water contact time and reducing noise. and turbulence.
Due to waste build-up and calcium carbonate buildup, skimmer pumps operate in a harsh environment and must be cleaned periodically to maintain peak performance.
