JBL - ProHaru Universal - Glue for Plants, Decoration and Corals - 80ml

Aquarists, terrarium enthusiasts and garden pond enthusiasts need glue for all kinds of operations. This glue should not be toxic to animals or plants. This is why JBL has developed the ProHaru Universal and Rapid products. Before assembling decorative elements, the user must take care to remove as carefully as possible any biofilms (slippery surface due to bacteria) present on these materials, as they prevent the glue from holding for a long time. Dry materials, which have not yet been used, do not exhibit problematic biofilms.

Fixing coral cuttings: in reef aquariums, it is difficult to find surfaces free of any vegetation (calcareous algae, etc.). We can therefore proceed in the following way to fix the cuttings of corals: look for a hollow in the reef which is slightly larger than the foot of the cutting. Fill this small bowl with JBL ProHaru universal and press the cutting in so that the product overflows around the foot. Smooth the glue around the cutting and remove excess glue, if any.

Fixing moss and plants: In the realization of their aquatic landscapes, the “aquascapers” like to fix moss and plants on roots or stones. They allow them to render the desired impressions and to obtain breathtaking landscapes. As a rule, these decorations are first mounted “dry”. JBL ProHaru universal is an ideal glue for this purpose. Apply one or more strips of JBL ProHaru universal glue to the affected location (root or stone) and press the moss or plants onto the glue bed.

Keep the plants moist until the aquarium is full.

Curing: Curing releases small amounts of methanol. This does not present any danger in the case of small works carried out under water (repair of leaks, fixing of coral cuttings, etc.) with quantities of product of less than 50 ml per 100 l of aquarium water; in fact, the methanol produced is immediately absorbed by the cleaning bacteria. However, we recommend always carrying out heavy gluing work out of the water and letting the glue harden completely.
