Stabilizes the pH at 8.3 in the reef aquarium
Usage: 5 grams (1 tsp) per 150 L increases pH by 0.1

Reef Buffer will also increase carbonate hardness. Reef buffer is not just sodium carbonate but a mixture of different components.
