The correct water parameters in the aquarium depend on the population of fish and plants present. Even if the water looks clear, it can be polluted. If the parameters are wrong, diseases or algae may appear in the aquarium. To ensure that an aquarium is healthy and has living conditions close to nature, it is important to regularly check and adjust the water parameters. • Mg-Ca test: determination of magnesium and calcium in the marine aquarium. The Mg content should be between 1200 and 1600 mg/l. The Mg content is tested first, then the Ca content. The Ca content value is then subtracted from the Mg content to obtain the true Mg content of the water.
