Copper is a heavy metal essential to plant and animal organisms as a trace element, but which, on the other hand, exerts a devastating action of cellular poison in the event of too high a concentration. Copper can be fixed with a good water conditioner. It can also be used in a targeted way to combat certain fish diseases.

Recommended copper level
As a general rule, copper SHOULD NOT be measurable in aquariums or ponds.
For invertebrates in fresh or sea water, the lowest copper level is already fatal!
The therapeutic dose for medicinal products containing copper is 0.3 mg/l - to be adjusted and checked with the Cu test.
