Activated carbon to remove tannins and harmful substances

Tannins and harmful substances alter the living conditions in an aquarium. Only tannin-free water allows the perfect diffusion of light towards the corals, plants and fish to ensure their natural color rendering. Tropic Marin ^® CARBON is a highly effective activated carbon with a high capacity for adsorption of tannins and harmful substances while limiting the release of phosphates and silicates. Very quickly after its application, the composition of the water shows significant signs of improvement thanks to the elimination of humic and harmful substances. The inhabitants benefit from a better availability of light and appear in their natural colors again.

How to use :

400 g of Tropic Marin ^® CARBON are sufficient for 800 liters of aquarium water.

We recommend for continuous use to filter through Tropic Marin ^® CARBON approximately 1% of the volume of the aquarium per hour. From experience, Tropic Marin ^® CARBON should be replaced after 8 weeks at the latest.

Alternatively, the carbon can, depending on the needs, be used in a rapid filter for 1 to 3 days, in the case of drug treatment for example.
