Thanks to its clearly defined dosage, Ferrum Lab allows for easy adjustments based on the actual aquarium volume and water analysis results. One milliliter increases the iron concentration by 0.004 mg/l in 100 liters of water . It is especially suitable for aquarists who want to maintain a stable concentration without unnecessary additions.

An iron supplement for marine and reef aquariums

Aquaforest's Ferrum Lab provides iron in concentrated form to meet the needs of a marine aquarium. This element is present in very low concentrations in seawater, but it remains essential for the functioning of many photosynthetic organisms.

It can notably support the growth of macroalgae cultivated in a refugium and contribute to the proper functioning of zooxanthellae associated with corals. However, its use should remain limited, as iron is effective at very low concentrations.

Dosage of Ferrum Lab Aquaforest

1 ml of Ferrum Lab increases the iron level by 0.004 mg/l in 100 litres of water. The recommended concentration in an aquarium is between 0.002 and 0.006 mg/l .

To increase the iron level by 0.002 mg/l, simply add 0.5 ml per 100 liters. The dosage should always be adjusted to the actual net volume of the system and, preferably, to the results of a reliable analysis.

Usage tips

The product should be added to a well-circulated area of the aquarium or sump to ensure proper dispersion. For small volumes, the use of a graduated syringe is recommended for accurate measurement of small quantities.

It is best to make gradual adjustments and avoid excessive additions. Overdosing can encourage the growth of unwanted algae or unbalance the aquarium.
