Seatest PO4 from Aquarium Systems is a box of 40 tests for the phosphate content in your freshwater and saltwater aquarium . PO4 phosphate is a residue from the decomposition of organic matter such as uneaten food, fish excrement… It has the ability to cause algae growth.
Test your water with Seatest PO4
Although it is preferable to keep PO4 values as low as possible, values up to 0.5 mg/l are still acceptable. Caution: Phosphates tend to form insoluble salts, which are added to the sediment at the bottom. Therefore, make sure to regularly remove the silt from the bottom of your aquarium. Keep well out of the reach of children.
The box contains a test reagent, a measuring tube, a colored scale, and instructions for use.
When should phosphate levels be tested?
You can test as often as possible with PO4 in order to obtain good quality water for your fish, corals and plants.
What is the recommended phosphate level?
For phosphate, the maximum content should be 0.05 mg/L for a freshwater aquarium and 0 mg/L for a seawater aquarium.
