The REEFER™ Series from Red Sea provide experienced aquarists with a solid base for setting up a marine or fully equipped aquarium. The REEFER™ Series combine ultra-white glass aquariums with a very contemporary design, professional water treatment systems including evaporation-compensated settling and the specific silent water descent system of Red Sea. Incorporating original technologies developed for all-in-one reef systems Red Sea MAX®, the REEFER™ range is designed to be easy to use while allowing the discerning aquarist to install an unlimited choice of lighting, filtration, mixing and controllers to create a one-of-a-kind custom system.

Settling of REEFER™ Peninsula

The REEFER™ Peninsula have advanced decantations with the following characteristics:

• A height-adjustable skimmer compartment, allowing you to set the water height between 21 and 27 cm for optimal skimming performance

• “Refugium-Ready” settling with removable 2-position wall to choose which settling volume will be allocated to the skimmer and the reactors and which volume will be dedicated to the refuge.
• 4 micron bag filters
• Larger osmosis water reserves that can be moved when needed during pump maintenance.

REEFER™ Peninsula Deluxe includes the all-new ReefLED® 90 or 160S lighting modules for mounting on suspension systems Red Sea in one convenient "Reef ready" pack. The heart of the module is a compact array of LEDs that produces a REEF-SPEC single-channel blue REEF-SPEC (23000K) light spectrum that is an optimal combination of ultraviolet, violet and blue LEDs and a single-channel white of 9000K. Added to this is a 3W Moonlight channel dedicated to the low light intensities necessary for night observations. The compact LED matrix sits beneath an optical glass lens which creates a homogeneous light which allows spectacular coral color rendition and a soft shimmering effect in the aquarium.

ReefLEDs are controlled by the ReefBeat® app from Red Sea which offers a wide range of easy to use functions including random clouds, acclimatization for new installations and a lunar cycle for the moonlight channel.

The REEFER™ Peninsula Deluxe version is available for the 500 and 650 models with 2, 3 or 4 LED units.

REEFER™ aquariums are made of thick ultra-clear glass with beveled edges to support their sleek, modern braceless design. The aquarium is placed on a recessed surface giving the impression that it is floating above the perfectly aligned furniture. The Marine-Spec plywood cabinet which houses the decantation (and for the larger models which also includes a ventilated space dedicated to the cold unit) has doors carefully covered with waterproof epoxy paint.

Removable combs surround the top of the central overflow which houses the downpipe, return pipe and multi-directional nozzle. In the event of a blockage of the regulated drop tube, a safety tube allows the water to return directly to the decantation. On entering the decantation, the water passes through a battery of 4 sliding Micron bag mechanical filters for easy access. The Peninsula's main decanter compartment features an adjustable outlet valve that allows the water height to be set to the optimum level for your skimmer between 21 and 27cm. A unique feature of this decanter is that it is “Refugium-Ready”. It has a removable partition for the main compartment that can be installed in 2 positions. You can decide how much of the sediment will be given to the skimmer and reactors, and to the refugium. lift pump compartment. To ensure a constant level in the lift pump compartment, all REEFER™ decanters incorporate automatic evaporation compensation to maintain and regulate the flow of water through the entire system. The connection kit is complete, all the tubes are with quick couplings and do not require any gluing.
