BEA Cycle relies on an internal reticular structure composed of interconnected microchannels and semi-closed pores. This unique architecture allows for the simultaneous creation of aerobic zones at the surface and anaerobic zones at depth . This dual environment naturally promotes nitrification and denitrification, replicating the functioning of living rock in a more stable and controlled format.

Each liter develops approximately 3000 m² of internal surface area , providing exceptional support for bacterial colonization. The result is a gradual and efficient transformation of nitrogen compounds, contributing to the overall stability of the system.

Biological equivalence and processing capacity

The 500 ml format is equivalent to approximately 7.5 kg of live rock . For a moderately stocked 200-liter aquarium, 1000 ml is recommended. The 500 ml format is ideal as a supplement to filtration or for reinforcing a technical compartment.

It is particularly useful in aquariums containing few live rocks or in modern setups where aesthetics and space are optimized.

Installation according to the desired action

BEA Cycle can be strategically positioned according to the biological objective:

• Area with strong aeration and oxygenation to promote nitrification.
• Low-movement, low-oxygenation zone to stimulate denitrification.

A simple rinse before installation is all that's needed. The media does not require regular replacement and offers long-lasting use.

Optimized bacterial cycle inoculation procedure

To accelerate bacterial colonization, controlled inoculation can be performed:

• Place 4 to 5 liters of aquarium water in a bucket.
• Add BEA Cycle with 2 capsules of Aequilibrium A and 2 of PRO.
• Keep at 25°C for 24 to 48 hours.

To promote nitrification, keep the mixture oxygenated and in motion. For denitrification, allow it to rest without movement or oxygenation. Then place the media in the sump, without pouring the culture water back into the aquarium.
