SeaGel™ is a blend of MatrixCarbon™ and PhosGuard™ . Although MatrixCarbon™ has the lowest detectable phosphate content of any major carbon brand tested, some phosphate is still released. Adding PhosGuard™ to the mix compensates for this. The components reinforce each other and are ideal for reef and marine use.

Description

SeaGel™ is a blend of MatrixCarbon™ and PhosGuard™ . MatrixCarbon™ is an ultra-efficient carbon for the removal of organic and colored impurities. PhosGuard™ is a powerful remover of phosphate, silicate, toxic metals and acids. Both components are bead shaped for optimum water flow and penetration characteristics. The components reinforce each other and are ideal for reef and marine use. SeaGel™ can also be used in soft water that is not phosphate buffered.

Although MatrixCarbon™ has the lowest detectable phosphate content of any major carbon brand tested, some phosphate is still released. Adding PhosGuard™ to the mix compensates for this. The components reinforce each other and are ideal for reef and marine use.

Instructions

Use 250 ml for every 150-225 L (40-60 US gallons). Use in a filter bag. Rinse with fresh water before use. Use caution as product will fizz and heat upon initial wetting. SeaGel™ will work 3-4 months.

It removes phosphates well, but it takes a bit longer for silicates. (Translated review)
