Product Details

Alkaline Buffer™ is a phosphate-free buffer solution designed to raise pH and alkalinity and control acidity with Acid Buffer™. Both of these buffer solutions are designed for aquariums with plants or very hard water where buffer solutions containing phosphates can promote algae growth or cloud the water. Alkaline Buffer™ raises the pH and maintains it between 7.2 and 8.5. It is a gentle and safe solution to improve the freshwater environment.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE To raise pH, use 1 teaspoon (7 g) for every 80 L each day until desired pH is reached (this dose increases alkalinity by approximately 1 meq/L (2 .8 dKH)). To gradually adjust the pH, or if the water is soft or its acidity is not sufficiently controlled, use Acid Buffer™ with Alkaline Buffer™.
