An aquarium inspired by African nature
The Mere River Kit is designed to faithfully recreate the biotope of the Congo River Delta . This unique aquatic landscape is characterized by a subtle mix of yellow-ochre sands, gravel and plant debris , mimicking the natural sedimentation of tropical rivers. The Wetland Artist Mustard nutrient substrate encourages the growth of aquatic plants, while the Bumblebee stones add an authentic touch with their yellow-ochre shades and natural textures.
A composition studied for a perfect result
Each kit contains a selection of natural materials:
- 5 kg of Wetland Artist Mustard nutrient substrate .
- 2kg of Mere Riverbed sand , ideal for mimicking natural river deposits.
- 7-10 kg of Bumblebee stones , yellow-ochre in hues with a granite texture.
- 2 kg of Nano Stones to enrich the relief and give an even more natural appearance.
These materials are 100% natural and non-toxic , do not release any chemicals and do not alter water hardness.
How to install the Mere River Kit in your aquarium?
Installing the Mere River Kit is quick and easy. Here are the steps to follow:
- Prepare the aquarium: Make sure it is clean and securely installed on a stable surface.
- Plan your layout: Visualize the arrangement of the substrate and decorations before you begin.
- Lay the first layer of nutrient substrate: Spread about 1 cm of Wetland Artist Mustard in the area where you want to plant.
- Add Mere Riverbed Sand: Place a thin 1cm layer on the substrate for a natural effect.
- Arrange the stones: Place the Bumblebee stones and Nano Rocks to structure the decor.
- Top up with the rest of the substrate: Add a 3 cm layer in the planted areas.
- Add the plants: Moisten the substrate, plant the plants and adjust the arrangement.
- Fill the aquarium: Pour the water gently so as not to disturb the layout.

A kit suitable for all aquarium sizes
One kit is sufficient for a 60 cm aquarium . For larger sizes:
- 70-90 cm: Plan for 2 kits.
- 90-120 cm: Plan for 3 kits.
