What are the characteristics of Micro artemia cysts?

  • HUFA Omega 3: > 15 mg/g dry weight
  • Naturally rich in EPA, a highly unsaturated essential fatty acid.
  • Very high, rapid and synchronous hatching
  • Hatching efficiency up to 300,000 nauplii per gram and more

How to use micro artemia cysts?

Preparation of the tank

  • Use a clean tank with a conical bottom
  • Install an open air tube near the bottom of the tank
  • Install a light source on top of the tank
  • Fill with clean sea water with a salinity of 25-35 grams/liter.

Optimal hatching conditions

  • Temperature 25-29°C
  • Sufficient aeration to keep cysts in suspension
  • pH 7.8-8.5
  • Incubate a maximum of 2 grams of cysts per liter of seawater.

Hatching and harvesting

  • Under optimal conditions, hatching will be completed in 16-18 hours to achieve optimum prey size
  • Stop ventilation and remove the light source
  • After 10 minutes, drain or siphon the nauplii from the bottom.
  • Wait another 15 minutes and harvest the remaining nauplii
