The large Comline ® DOC Skimmer 9012 is designed for mixed marine / soft coral aquariums from 200 to 1200 liters or for hard coral reef biotopes up to 500 liters. It is based on the TUNZE ® “Flash Skimming” principle and draws its water from surface suction by eliminating the greasy film. This advantage allows it to operate in the aquarium in a “stand alone” version. Its TUNZE ® Foamer generates a large quantity of air bubbles with a diameter between 0.1 and 0.3 mm with particularly quiet operation. Silentblocs in silicone fixed to the skimmer avoid the transmission of vibrations to the windows of the aquarium. The Comline ® DOC Skimmer 9012 is delivered ready to use with Magnet Holder up to 15 mm glass thickness.
Comline ® DOC Skimmer 9012 DC has the same characteristics as the 9012 model, however is equipped with the Foamer electronic 9012.041, a Controller and a mains power supply. The power adjustment of the skimmer is carried out in a very practical way at the level of the Controller (1), thus allowing more flexibility in the adjustments, for example in aquariums very loaded with proteins and foaming substances. The "cup cleaning" button allows the skimmer to be switched off / restarted during cup cleaning. It stops and restarts the pump, thus preventing the bubbles from spilling into the aquarium. The Foamer restarts automatically after 10 minutes if the "cup cleaning" button is not manually pressed again after cleaning. When the Foamer is stopped, the injection nozzle fills with water, which dissolves the calcium deposits and significantly lengthens the time between two complete cleanings of the device.
