The world in an aquarium

The summary of this issue takes us once again to very distant lands, whether Lake Nicaragua, French Guiana, West Africa or even Sri Lanka, to name but a few. examples.

This shows once again the incredible diversity of the aquarium hobby, and also its ability to present biotopes from all over the world. It is all the more important that today many threats hang over the hobby. In particular, there are various restrictive lists concerning the species authorized for sale
which are being studied at European Union level. It is also possible that one day the aquarium trade will come down, at the level of the population housed, to only a few so-called domestic species. Hello atmosphere...

It is all the more regrettable that this diversity in the aquarium not only attracts new "followers", but also bears witness to the teeming underwater life that exists throughout the world. The aquarium is therefore a kind of witness to the living, no offense to certain lobbies.

Be that as it may, for the moment, we are still allowed to dream of these freshwater biotopes from all over the world, which stimulate us so much to develop the decor and the population, if possible balanced, of our aquariums.
